beautiful thing:
pleasant surprises
so i'm retaking this class online. it's called World Civilization from 1500, and i find it really interesting!
[can i say, i'm learning wayyy more than i did in the actual class. yep.]
but as a history class, you wouldn't think to find deep, meaningful insights into your own personal life.
THINK AGAIN.

i found this little gem in my lesson today. it was about the changes taking place in Europe from 1500-1750 AD:
"But at the core of any real transformation is a change in the way people think—the way they think about themselves, and in how they explain the physical world around them. Ideological changes are the deep and most enduring."
pretty neat, huh? it's so true--not just for a nation or a generation.
but for me.
and you.
peace out.
